Face Lift.  To recontour the upper and lower face including the neck, the skin and underlying tissues are lifted to give a more youthful appearance. This procedure can be performed in our fully accredited ambulatory surgery facility.

Mini-Face Lift.  Recontours the lower face from cheek to chin. Skin and underlying tissue is lifted to effectively eliminate jowls and redefine the cheekbones. Shorter scars and quicker recovery make this procedure very appealing. The best candidates for the mini-lift are those who are unhappy with the contour of their lower face and neck.

Neck Lift.  A neck lift can make a dramatic difference in facial appearance. Small-incision surgery allows recontouring of the neck with minimal downtime under twilight anesthesia. The neck lift is ideal for treating people with conditions such as turkey wattle neck and excess fat, but who are not bothered by jowls and cheek contour problems.

Chin Augmentation.  The procedure recontours the chin with an implant placed through a virtually invisible incision. Chin augmentation can transform the face into a more aesthetically pleasing shape and can be done in conjunction with a neck lift or face-lift. If you are still uncertain if an implant will work for you, Dr. MacDonald does offer the option of using facial fillers to temporarily enlarge the chin.  With this type of temporary procedure, you can evaluate whether a more permanent product will give you the look you desire.

Forehead / Brow Lift.
This procedure opens and brightens the upper face, smoothes deep furrows and wrinkles in the forehead, softens vertical scowl lines between the eye-brows, lifts sagging brows, and alleviates pressure on the upper eyelid.  It can be done alone or in conjunction with other procedures such as face-lift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping.

Nose and Septal Surgery.
Rhinoplasty or cosmetic correction of the appearance of the nose can be performed with techniques that allow recontouring in a natural way. Often breathing problems and nasal congestion can be improved at the same time, providing both a practical and aesthetic benefit to the patient. Some insurance may cover surgery to alleviate breathing problems, or trauma.

Eyelid Surgery.  The eyes are the windows to the soul. All too often, however, they seem to reveal exhaustion. The very delicate skin around the eyes tend to crease and become puffy due to fatigue and stress.  One very helpful way to get rid of this look is to opt for eyelid tuck -- a technique that involves making a tiny incision inside the lower and, or, external lid of the eye. The tissue heals so quickly that all you are left with fine line scars that are almost invisible to naked eye.  Upper and lower eyelid incisions heal very well.  Sometimes the lower eyelid can be done without any external scars.

Lip Augmentation.
Lip augmentation enhances the contour and fullness of lips for a younger, healthier appearance. Well-defined, plump lips are subject to sagging as we age. The colored portion of the lips thins out and the arch of the upper lip (cupid's bow) flattens. This problem is especially noticeable in women with naturally thin lips. Lip augmentation is appropriate for patients who wish to enhance the lips they are born with and for patients who wish to restore the lips aging takes away. Your options for shaping and sculpting your lips, correcting a lip imperfection or enhancing an already wonderful shape with more fullness can be done with a simple medical procedure, which includes numerous minimally invasive temporary injectable fillers to permanent fillers and implants.

Ear Surgery (Otoplasty).
Prominent ears can be a source of ridicule and embarrassment, particularly for children.  The problem is usually a lack of adequate folding of the ear cartilage such that instead of folding back on itself, the ear cartilage continues as a large bowl-shape.  The prominent ear can be surgically corrected to a more aesthetically pleasing shape with a lower profile from the head. During the procedure, through an incision behind the ear, the cartilage is reshaped to the desired contour, using stitches placed in the rear of the ear, which do not show after surgery.

Other Facial Procedures offered:  Chin or Cheek implants, Laser Resurfacing, Chemical Peels, Botox Injections, and Facial Fillers such as Juvederm, Radiesse and Restylane.

Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck).
People who have especially slack skin in their midsection may need more than that which liposuction can offer. Typical candidates for this surgery are women with drooping abdomens after pregnancy or women and men who've lost a great deal of weight, or who have lost and gained weight repeatedly.

Mini Abdominoplasty.  The mini-tummy tuck is a great option for those who want to slim the stomach and waist, but don't need the heavy lifting of a full abdominoplasty. It's especially effective for those who suffer from moderate but persistent potbelly or "bikini bulge." The main difference between the two procedures is that the mini-tummy tuck doesn't require moving or reconstructing the belly button.

Liposuction/Liposculpture.
Liposuction surgery is a technique that involves the use of a small stainless steel tube, called a cannula. The cannula is connected to a powerful suction pump and inserted into the fat through small incisions in the skin. Fat removal is accomplished as the suction cannula creates tiny tunnels through the fatty layers. After surgery, these tiny tunnels collapse and thus result in an improved body contour. Areas affected by liposculpting can range from the face, neck, arms, chest wall, abdomen, love handles, inner or outter thighs, upper back, knees, male breasts, or buttocks, and elsewhere.

Breast Augmentation.
One of the most popular types of cosmetic surgery is breast augmentation with either saline or silicone implants.  Implants can be placed either under or over  the muscle through incisions placed in the underarm, around the areola, in the breast fold, or even through the belly button. As with all cosmetic surgery, Dr. MacDonald works closely with you to determine the ideal size, shape, placement, and location of the implant.

Breast Reduction.
Breasts that are too large can cause more than just a body-image problem. This is a condition that can cause pain and discomfort, impairing a person's ability to lead an active life. Breast reduction surgery removes excess breast tissue and reshapes the contour of the breasts so that they are smaller and perkier. Breast reduction in men and teenage boys, known as gynecomastia, has been shown to improve self-image. Some insurance may cover surgery.

Gynecomastia—over-developed or enlarged breasts—is common in men of any age. The condition may occur due to hormonal changes, heredity, disease, or the use of certain drugs. Gynecomastia can be more than just a physical problem; it can cause emotional discomfort and impair the self-confidence of adolescents as well as adult males.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy).  The body is subject to the laws of gravity. As we age, breast tissue loses elasticity and begins to droop. A breast lift is a surgical procedure that raises and reshapes sagging breasts, without changing the size of the breast. The procedure involves removing excess skin and tightening the breast.

Breast Reconstruction.  Breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery is often an important step in a woman's recovery process—and an extremely emotional one. Dr. MacDonald guides the patient through this difficult time, helping her make the decisions necessary to create a beautiful, natural appearance and get on with her life.

Thigh, Buttock, and Arm Lifts.  Whether tightening or lifting via a surgical procedure, resculpting the body is now easier than ever before. Excess skin can be removed, and the remaining skin can be repositioned and tightened. The result of these lifts is improved contour and a perkier look. Lifts may be done individually, or as part of a more complete body lift.

Calf Implants.  Calf implants are a form of muscle enhancement surgery designed to improve leg contour. Through small incisions, implants can be inserted to create improved calf definition. Dr. MacDonald can even use your own fat to increase the size of your calves, so that nothing artificial may be needed to correct a natural deformity or to increase the size of the leg.

Buttock Augmentation.  The goal of buttock augmentation is to provide a more pleasing shape and contour to the backside by augmenting curves, correcting an imbalance or increasing size and prominence of the buttock. Dr. MacDonald often uses a technique of fat grafting to provide a natural, sculpted buttock shape. Buttock implants, inserted through small incisions, can also be used to create a more prominent buttock.

Other Body Procedures offered: Pectoral Implants are also another procedure Dr. MacDonald offers for men who desire a more chiseled chest.
